Childbirth Education and Antenatal Clinic
What do we do?
We provide a variety of services aimed at supporting young parents. The two main groups are
Young Parents Childbirth Education Classes and Antenatal Clinic.
This is a group program for young parents (men and women aged 25 years or under) and their support people.
Material covered is specifically aimed at the needs of young people.
Material is presented in a fun and interesting way that encourages discussion and information
sharing between participants. Midwives from the Logan Hospital deliver medical information and provide free
antenatal shared care checkups. Support with transport is available by negotiation.
Who can access the service?
If you are expecting a baby (mum or dad) and are under the age of 25, you can come along to childbirth
education classes and get medical check-ups at our ante-natal clinic.
If you have just had a baby, we can support you in your home and through other support groups.
Grandparents of the children attached to any of our young parents programs are also welcome.
