Job Placement Employment and Training (JPET)

What is JPET?

JPET workers support young people (15-21 years) who are having trouble finding work, staying in a job or accessing education/training. We work with each young person to find out what is getting in the way of work, education or training and develop, together with them, a plan to get these issues sorted.

We can meet you anywhere that is safe and easy for you to get to. We can also help out with practical support such as TAFE fees, cost of books/boots, getting a birth certificate or medicare card etc. We can help you find out what you are lacking to get your life on track.

Who can access the service?

If you are 15-21 years of age and homeless, or might become homeless, and are facing  personal and social difficulties that could include: Drug and alcohol issues, sexual abuse or violence, no income, mental health issues, difficulties at home, youth justice, English difficulties, reading and writing difficulties, then we can help. If you have loads of problems getting in the way of finding or keeping a job, education or training, this is the service for you.
