Youth and Family Service (Logan City) Inc (YFS) is a community based, not-for-profit organisation, providing responsive and innovative social welfare services to people in Logan City and surrounding areas.
A vacancy exists for an experienced youth worker in the integrated YFS Youth Services Team:
Youth Worker ($44,482 – 46,555)
YFS Youth Services offer information and support to young people and their families, living in the Logan community. We offer individualised case management; group workshops; community education and health promotion /early intervention initiatives.
We work with marginalised young people who may be experiencing the following areas in their lives: teenage pregnancy; teenage parents; lack of positive friendship; family and community support networks; being homeless or at risk of homelessness; dealing with juvenile justice matters and engagement in anti-social behaviours; and use alcohol and drugs in harmful ways.
We are seeking an applicant who has experience in working in a case management framework that is holistic and supports young people to participate in social, health, legal, education and employment experiences.
This position will be required to undertake a limited amount of after hours work on a roster system.
