Accounts Officer
Full time

YFS is seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Officer to work in a small Finance Team.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Responsibility for all facets of Accounts Payable including initial handling of incoming invoices, obtaining authorisations, payments, data entry and filing
  • Data entry of all payments into the financial accounting system
  • Maintenance of the organisations’ Petty Cash System
  • Reconcile Bank Statements and produce monthly Bank Reconciliation Reports
  • Act in a relieving and backup capacity for Accounts Receivable, payroll and HR administration duties
  • Responsibility for administration records and database for the YFS Motor Vehicle fleet

Needle and Syringe Program Worker
Classification: $35,291 - $42,262
Full-time Permanent Position
 
YFS is seeking to appoint a skilled, committed and enthusiastic worker to join in delivering services to the Logan and surrounding community.
 
As the successful applicant you will work within policy and procedures, in the provision of services to the injecting drug user community, within a harm minimisation framework.  As the key Needle and Syringe Program worker you will be responsible for the following outcomes
  • Distribution of injecting equipment to Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) while maintaining a professional manner and in accordance with the standards set by Queensland Health
  • Supply relevant educational material and information to IDUs through brief interventions with individuals and through organised groups and information / health promotion activities.
  • In conjunction with the Supervisor, develop and maintain links and referral pathways with other services relevant to IDUs in the Logan District
  • Collect or arrange collection of discarded sharps equipment
  • Participate in the education of YFS workers to responsibly distribute injecting equipment in accordance with the YFS harm minimisation policy and to safely collect and dispose of discarded sharps equipment
  • Undertake additional Administration duties related to YFS operations as required
