A group of generous Brisbane hospitality leaders are throwing a Christmas Eve party to remember for some Logan families.
Members of the Hospitality with Heart group have invited clients from Logan not-for-profit organisation YFS to enjoy a feast, complete with gifts, entertainment, activities and pampering.
YFS CEO Cath Bartolo said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of the Hospitality with Heart members.
“This will be such a great experience for our clients at a time that can be very difficult for vulnerable people,” Ms Bartolo said.
Good Food Guide editor Natascha Mirosch and caterer Jerome Dalton started Hospitality with Heart to share the joys of hospitality with people who may not otherwise experience it.
Founder Natascha Mirosch said the response from her friends in hospitality had been amazing. Brisbane’s restaurateurs, caterers, food suppliers and supporters have donated food, funds, labour, gifts and supplies to create a great event.
“Our hope is simply that people enjoy themselves, relax and get to spend time with their own family or friends in a safe, stress-free environment,” Ms Mirosch said.
“Christmas can be a lonely time; everything’s shut and everyone’s spending time with their families, so we decided Christmas Eve was the perfect time to do it.”
