TOBACCO PRODUCTS (PREVENTION OF SUPPLY TO CHILDREN) ACT 1998

It is an offence to sell cigaretts or someone under 18yrs.

If you are over 18yrs, it is an offence to give a cigarett to someone who is under 18yrs.(s.19)

It will not be an offence for a Parent or Guardian (s.5) to give their children cigarett. (s.19.(2))

If the police or health service employee (s.27) see you buying cigarett, they can ask you for your Name, Age and Address. It is an offence not to give your correct details.(s.39)
