Minister for Youth and state Labor MP for Waterford Shannon Fentiman has urged workers at a critical Logan social service to keep up their good work around a key program.

Ms Fentiman said the YFS’s R4Respect program was crucial in delivering the message to youth about the importance of respect.

The program started one year ago at YFS to educate young people about being respectful in relationships.

“They have spoken to over 3000 schools students on the importance of respectful relationships, delivered their presentations to the Department of Education and Training and led a successful social media campaign during

Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month,” Ms Fentiman said.

“Not only it is designed by young people who understand the best ways to make their peers feel included and supported in the program, but it allows for leadership among our young people on important issues like tackling gender-based violence.”
