People with a disability

YFS’ Social Links program offers group activities, events and outings in a community setting.

From July 2018, YFS will no longer provide disability services for people who are eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We are working with our current clients to help them transition to other services.

Our Social Links service will provide group programs for people who are not eligible for the NDIS.

Social Links

We encourage you to be active in your community, and we champion your abilities and independence. YFS will work with you, your family and carers to provide interesting individualor group -based services that help you build confidence and make the most of your abilities.

We meet with you to work out what you would like to achieve and how we will work together.

Our program is all about you as an individual so please tell us your ideas for groups and social events. Examples of some activities we offer include bingo, Our Kitchen Rules, bowling, soccer, volunteering, animal care, movies, bushwalking and picnics.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is coming to Logan from July 2018, bringing new opportunities for people with a disability to achieve their goals and live the lives they want.

If you are a person with a disability who wants to find out more about the great possibilities of the NDIS, we recommend the following sources:
