Our social enterprise, Substation33, can help you gain the confidence and skills you need to transition into long-term, sustainable employment.
Founded in 2012 by YFS employee, Tony Sharp, Substation33 is an inclusive, supportive and non-judgmental workplace where employees and volunteers recycle and repurpose waste that would otherwise go into landfill.
You can learn to drive, help build a tiny house or assist on a range of innovative technical projects that use eWaste as the basis for sustainable design including Flooded Road Signs, our affordable clean energy project: PowerWells and Phone Charging Stations.
At Substation33 you’ll receive support, mentoring and training to increase your confidence, gain more social connections, learn transferable skills and undertake meaningful work, all while having a great time.
Substation33 welcomes any individual from Logan and surrounding areas who wants to train, upskill and find employment. We love helping people reach their potential and offer a supportive, inclusive and non-judgmental work environment.
“I feel like I started here with nothing, and now I have everything I’ve ever really wanted.”
