Home and Healthy

The Home and Healthy team helps people aged 16+ experiencing severe mental illness and housing instability to live a stable, engaged, healthy life.

Our Home and Healthy team can work with you to meet your recovery goals, improve your mental health, connect to services and find and sustain stable, safe, appropriate accommodation.

By focusing on your strengths, abilities and resources, we help you connect to community, reduce isolation, build your self-confidence and grow independence.

At every turn, we make sure you are seen, heard and understood. Our service is culturally safe, non-judgmental and trauma informed.

Home and Healthy is a joint initiative from Micah Projects (supporting people in Brisbane South and Redlands sub-regions), YFS (supporting people in Logan and Beaudesert), and Institute of Urban Indigenous Health (supporting First Nations people across the region).

Once we receive a referral from you or another service provider, we get in touch. At our first meeting, we get your consent, complete a needs assessment, and talk about your goals.

We usually support people for around three to six months (if you choose). Sometimes it can be longer depending on your needs.

Over that time, we regularly check up on you, get to know you, work on your goals, and help you connect to useful services such as the NDIS or other supports.

We accept referrals from services and government agencies.
