For over forty years, we’ve backed the people in our community to write their future story. We’re trusted because we show up, we listen, and we stick with our clients for as long as they need us—through one chapter of their lives or many.
We’re guided by our values, grounded in the communities we serve and motivated by our belief that where someone is now, doesn’t determine where they’re going.
YFS provides support across housing, domestic and family violence, youth services, employment, family services, legal services and financial wellbeing.
我们每天以关爱、清晰和一致的方式,帮助个人、青少年和家庭应对复杂的挑战。.
We know that where you’re at now doesn’t define where you’re going. We’ll walk alongside you as you write your future story.
We welcome all First Nations peoples to YFS. We are committed to inclusivity and reconciliation and strive to model how all community service organisations should work alongside First Nations people.
Our staff nurture an inclusive culture that promotes value and respect for everyone. We are dedicated to preventing all forms of racism.
We aspire to achieve cultural diversity in line with the broader Logan community, and for clients and staff from all cultural backgrounds to feel welcome, safe and supported.
We recognise that diversity goes beyond physical attributes – our experiences, sexual orientation, marital status, educational background, parental status, gender identity, income, economic status, religious beliefs and affiliations are just some of the things that make us diverse.
YFS welcomes the diversity of sexual orientations, sex and gender identities of people in our community and honours the dignity and pride of those who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Sistergirl and Brotherboy, and others of diverse genders and sexualities.
We maintain the rights, wellbeing and dignity of our clients and staff by supporting diversity and inclusion, and by embracing difference. We embed diversity and inclusion into YFS through our governance, our everyday work, and dedicated staff working groups.
Our Cultural Diversity Working Group celebrates and promotes the many different cultural backgrounds of YFS staff.
Our LGBTQIA+ Pride Working Group identifies and implements opportunities to keep LGBTQIA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy inclusion on the agenda for our organisation and ensures that YFS is an inclusive place.
