R4Respect

R4Respect is a peer-led program that helps young people build respectful relationships and recognise harmful behaviours.

The program is delivered by a team of young people who work with their peers to recognise harmful attitudes and beliefs, build understanding and call out behaviours that can lead to harm, including the difference between consent and control in relationships.

Through workshops in schools and community settings, along with online content and community engagement, R4Respect shares practical tools and real conversations about what respect looks like, what crosses the line, and how to respond.

Using a unique peer-to-peer model, the program empowers young people to be leaders and agents of change in their communities. Since 2017, the team has reached millions of young people online and more than 25,000 face-to-face with positive messages of respect.

Once you get in touch, we’ll work with you to arrange a workshop for your school or community group.

Workshops are usually around one hour over 1-8 weeks, tailored to be age-appropriate, and typically delivered to groups of fewer than 50 students or young people.

We can work with you to understand your needs and shape the workshop to suit your group.

R4Respect workshops are interactive and designed to:

• build understanding of respectful relationships
• unpack harmful attitudes and beliefs that lead to harmful behaviours
• encourage positive help-seeking
• support young people to speak up and look out for each other
• understand consent and the laws around explicit images.

R4Respect works with schools, community organisations and groups supporting young people. When making an enquiry, it helps to include:
