Overview

Pathways2Respect is a leadership and prevention program designed to support young men to become positive role models within their school communities. Through workshops, mentoring and guided discussions, participants build the skills, confidence and understanding needed to foster respectful relationships and contribute to positive school cultures.

Young men in the program will explore topics such as respect, gender, equality, consent, personal boundaries, positive masculinity, values and strengths. Along the way, they are encouraged to reflect on their own beliefs, develop leadership skills and consider how they can positively influence those around them.

The program builds on YFS’ experience delivering respectful relationships education in schools and is facilitated by experienced youth workers and educators.

Building respect. Creating change. Inspiring the next generation.

Workshops are delivered in person

What to expect

Participants join a small group of approximately 10 to 12 young men from Years 7 to 11. The program runs across three school terms and includes:

  • themed workshops
  • group mentoring and reflection sessions
  • support to apply their learning and navigate challenges
  • opportunities to create positive change within their school community.

Young men will be encouraged to learn from and support one another, using their diverse experiences across year levels to strengthen leadership skills, build confidence and create positive, lasting change within their school community.

Pathways2Respect work with students who:

  • show leadership potential
  • treat others with respect
  • are open to learning and new perspectives
  • want to make a positive difference in their school community.

Students are not required to share personal experiences and can participate at a level that feels comfortable for them.
