YFS Legal has been supporting people in Logan and surrounding areas to access justice since 1992.
YFS Legal is a Community Legal Centre providing free one-off legal advice on a range of matters, including family law, criminal law, domestic and family violence, neighbourhood disputes and fines.
In some cases, ongoing support or representation may be available, particularly for young people.
There are some areas we can’t assist with, including personal injury, business matters, immigration, and advice for landlords.
Our services include:
- legal representation for young people aged 10-25
- duty lawyer services
- general legal advice including criminal law, domestic and family violence law, family law and civil matters
- legal task assistance
- outreach programs
- community legal education, workshops and training
- law reform activities.
Evening Legal Advice Clinic
Our Evening Legal Advice Clinic runs on the first and third Thursday of each month.
Appointments are available from 6:00pm to 8:45pm, either in person or by phone.
At our night clinic, volunteer lawyers can help with a range of legal matters, including family law, domestic and family violence, criminal matters (including traffic offences and fines), and child protection.

Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney Clinic
Twice a year, YFS Legal partner with Logan District Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Elders and Colin Biggers & Paisley lawyers to provide a free Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney Clinic to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
