Leave a gift

 in your will

We need your support to help everyday people in Logan and surrounds to thrive.

With your donation, we can support people to overcome the many adversities that are holding them back from thriving.

Every year, our support programs change people’s lives.

Your legacy will ensure many more people change their lives for the better.

You are not just helping one person today.

You are joining with YFS and other like-minded people to make a difference to a whole generation of Logan people who need a hand up not a handout.

How to leave a gift to YFS in your will

Step 1: Decide on the type of gift to leave

Most of our supporters choose to leave a monetary gift as a residuary bequest. Others leave an asset such as real estate, shares or bonds.

Step 2: Speak to your loved ones

Let your family know of your intention to leave YFS a gift and confirm they support your decision.

Step 3: Seek professional advice

Your will is a legal document. It must be prepared properly. Ask your solicitor about the best way leave a gift to YFS.

Step 4: Making a will

Include your gift to YFS when you draw up your Will by giving your solicitor the following wording.

“I (insert name here) bequeath to YFS Ltd ABN 58 239 250 649 (insert the percentage or residue of your estate, the amount of money, or the details of your property, shares, bonds or item of value). My bequest is to be used for the general purposes of YFS. I declare that the receipt of the Secretary or other proper officer shall be a complete discharge of my bequest.”

Step 5: Changing a will

If you have a written will, the easiest way to leave a gift to YFS is by adding a short legal amendment, called a codicil. See your solicitor for details.
